'Climate Adaptation' - Saying What We Mean

Steve Adams, Director of Climate Adaptation and Preparedness, has published an article for the Yale Forum on Climate Change & the Media entitled:“The Coming Lexicon Challenge: ‘Climate Adaptation & Saying What We Mean.'  

Adams asserts that uncertainty around the language of climate change adaptation has contributed to political inaction on the issue. He explores the terms “adaptation,” “resilience,” “preparation,” and “preparedness."
